Governance

AHDT is governed by a constitution adopted by its general membership. Its day-to-day affairs are managed by an executive committee elected by members at a general meeting. As a registered charity, we subscribe to the UK Charity Commission’s guidelines on good practice in the governance of charities. Our trustees and patrons are appointed by the executive committee and are drawn from members of the wider British society.The current members of the executive committee are:

Chairman:  Dr. Ibrahim A. J. Hassan (MD, FRCPath)

Vice  Chairman:  Mr. Jibril A. Jibril (FRCS Ed; FRCS (Gen). )

Secretary: Dr. Ibrahim Dodo (MBBS, MRCS, DFSRH)

Assistant Secretary: Dr. Ado Yusuf (MBBS, MSc, MRCP, MRCGP, PG Diploma Cardiology)

Publicity  Secretary: Dr. Rufai Nadama (MBBS, FRCP, EDARM, FCCP)

Project  Coordinator: Dr. Abubakar Zubairu (MBBS, MSc, MRCP)

Financial Secretary/Treasurer: Dr. Nurain Hassan Ibrahim (PhD)
