Africa Healthcare Development Trust (AHDT) has been recognised as a key partner by International Health Partners (IHP) UK, who recently received the Queens Award for Enterprise for 5 years of continuous innovation. IHP works with its partners to provide donated medical aid to organisations serving children and adults in the most needy communities around the world. The award was presented by the Vice Lord Lieutenant for London on behalf of HM The Queen at a ceremony that took place at the House of Lords on Wednesday 21st December 2011. According to IHP, the “award would not have been possible without the support of all of our partners”. The organisation decided that it was only appropriate to accept the award on its behalf and that of its partners. Key partners were invited to share in the achievement, among which was AHDT. The Secretary of State for Health was the guest of honour and AHDT was represented by our Secretery, Dr. Ibrahim Dodo.
We work tirelessly towards improving healthcare delivery to disadvantaged populations in Africa, currently focusing on northern Nigeria. AHDT embarks on realistic, cost-effective and targeted projects designed to achieve tangible outcomes. We do this in collaboration with partners in the UK and in our host community.
